If you'd like to burn your Buildatour.com Tour to an autoplay CD, we've provided some detailed instructions in this article. Many agents have found the tour on CD to be useful when visiting with clients that do not have internet acccess.
To start the process for burning your tour to CD, begin by logging into your Buildatour.com account.
From the "My Tours" Page, click the green download arrow for the tour you wish to burn to CD.
Doing so will take you to the following screen with instructions to "Click on the download image to create a zipped version of your portal that can be played from a CD or USB Drive."
Clicking on the download image will open a window with the choices to "Open" or "Save" Tour_IDnumber.zip. You should save the zipped file to your hard drive or other device. We recommend creating a new separate directory somewhere on your hard drive for the tour files destination ... i.e. c:/Documents and Settings/My Documents/Tour 12345/
Once the tour has zipped tour has downloaded to the selected directory, you'll see the following image.
Click "Open".
You'll now see the files and directories contained in the zipped file. Click "Extract All Files". See image below.
Using Windows XP, after clicking the "Extract All Files" link, a Wizard will open indicating "Welcome to the Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard. In this window, simply click the "Next" button.
A new Extraction Wizard window will open asking you to select a destination for the extracted files. Since the zipped file is easily recognizable, we recommend leaving the destination the same as the location of the zipped file. Once the destination has been selected, click the "Next" button again.
When the tour files have been extracted (unzipped), you'll see a new Extraction Wizard window indicating "Extraction Complete". You'll also notice a checkbox indicating "Show Extracted Files". Select this Checkbox, and click "Finish".
A new File Explorer window will open showing you the extracted tour files. You'll recognize these are extracted files due to the fact that BuildATour Icon is now a House Icon.
Now, you simply need to copy the three files and the directory to a CD or USB Drive. On a CD, the autoplay file will cause the tour to play automatically when the CD is inserted in the CD tray, and the tray is closed.
